Condition of Netting
This is the time to make sure there are no weak points or fraying starting on the threads. This can be done by simply inspecting the threads and pulling on the mesh. Just take care to not pull to hard on the net. We have net repair kits available that can help with mending problems with small sections:
Net Repair Kits
This kit contains an 8′ x 8′ panel along with variable sizes of twine. Perfect for patch repairs on sections that tend to wear more quickly on your net. This is also an efficient way to extend the life of your netting. You can also purchase twine separately and purchase a separate custom size panel section using our net calculator constucted with any material used on standard netting.
If you have netting that slides you’ll want to check that the net(s) move freely and easily on the cable lines. This would be the time to upgrade to pulleys especially if the net will need to slide frequently several times a day. If you only have snap-hooks or carabiners connecting the net to the cable lines eventually grooves will form in the snap-hooks making sliding the net more difficult. Just keep in mind that if you don’t have a pulley with a removable wheel that can be taken out of the pulley case, you will need to unhook your cable lines in order to get the pulleys onto the cables. Here are the pulleys available: Roller Wheels

If you notice some sag in your cable lines it is also ideal to check the tension on your cable lines. If you find your nets are sagging more it may be beneficial to check the turnbuckles and make sure they’re as tight as needed. This diagram shows the correct setup:
