Primarily used in commercial batting cage facilities & outdoor high-school batting cages, expecting a high amount of traffic & use. 35 oz, 45 oz, or 55 oz. available - 45 oz Verde Color in pictures above. All of these options are spike-resistant, but 40 oz+ is the industry standard for steel-spike use. The higher the ounce, the more durable & longer they will withstand heavy-use.

Pros:

• Great overall value
• Excellent abrasion-resistance - very durable face
• Doesn't require foam pad for very soft feel under feet - concrete is not felt
• Great for batting cages indoor or out
• Never loses shape or requires grooming to "fluff"

Cons:

• The 55 oz is not ideal for agility training because higher turf length can cause spikes to catch
• Abrasive face can cause burns
• Not drilled for drainage (can easily be performed after installed using drill or steel poker)
